Last Updated: May 20, 2026

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information.

What Does “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information Mean?

Under California law, a “sale” of personal information means disclosing your personal information to third parties in exchange for money or other valuable consideration. “Sharing” refers to transferring personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, even without monetary exchange.

What Information May Be Sold or Shared?

AAMCO Minnesota may share certain online identifiers and browsing data with advertising partners (such as Google Ads and similar platforms) for the purpose of delivering targeted advertisements. This activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law. The categories of personal information that may be involved include:

  • Identifiers (e.g., IP address, cookie identifiers)
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information (e.g., browsing behavior on our website)
  • Inferences drawn from the above to create a profile about your preferences
